Dymola has unique multi-engineering capabilities which means that models can consist of components from many engineering domains.Ā  This enables the full system to be modelled in one environment including all the physical systems and control systems.

A wide range of libraries are available covering many engineering domains including mechanical, electrical, control, thermal, pneumatic, hydraulic, and thermodynamics. In addition to these general libraries there are application specific libraries covering powertrains, vehicle dynamics, air-conditioning systems, electric drives and transmissions.

The multi-domain capabilities of Dymola and the open interface to the Modelica language provide you with the ability to model and simulate any physical component that can be described by ordinary differential and algebraic equations.
