Dymola is a multi-domain modelling and simulation tool that supports the Modelica modelling language. A wide range of model libraries are available including engines, transmissions, drivelines, vehicle dynamics, electric drives, control systems, hydraulics, air-conditioning amongst many others. Dymola has full support for the Modelica modelling language providing
the user with access to the model equations and the freedom to add
their own models.
Dymola uses a component orientated modelling method that provides the engineer with a convenient way to create the schematic of a multi-domain system. This schematic is then transformed in to efficient simulation using symbolic manipulation. Using symbolic manipulation it is possible to transform the schematic in to efficient real-time simulation code for use on HIL systems.
Optimisation and model calibration features are available for Dymola that support multiple parameter, multiple case optimization. It is also possible to export Dymola models for use in Simulink or for export to other computers as a pre-compiled model or as c-code.
